Are all-inclusive holidays your only option to travel with kids?
This question seems to be equally rhetorical and truculent, and so the answer must be obvious. Of course not! Provided you have the resources and willingness, you can go on an organized, tailor-made holiday wherever you like 🧡 Let’s not limit ourselves to holiday rules imposed by others! Let your imagination run wild and think what you would like to do on a family holiday, where you would like to have it, and when! Sky is the limit 🧡
Freedom!
We should follow our dreams without waiting for our kids to grow up and we are retired 😉 Now is the perfect time to show the world to your children and enjoy life together. You don’t need to spend your whole holiday in one place. After all, time off is for enjoying freedom and independence. Although you can have your base camp in one place and visit the whole area from there, taking advantage of local attractions, you can also rent a car and go further, and even use public transport 😉 It’s wonderful to spend your holidays with children beyond the all-inclusive model, but it’s vital to plan such a trip well and always remain flexible.
Options aplenty
If you actually feel like a two-week all-inclusive holiday – cool! However, if this is not your cup of tea, you don’t really feel the hype, and, most importantly, you want to see the world and experience amazing adventures, I have good news: your travel life is not over once your kids are born 😉 You’re not doomed to spending your summer by a pool for the next dozen years. Luckily, there are plenty of ways to travel with kids 🧡
Tailor-made offer
Traveling with kids can be a beautiful part of your family life! However, it is important to be well-prepared and carefully select both the destination and an itinerary adjusted to the needs of all family members (see it here). A tailor-made family holiday itinerary accommodates for every member’s interests, as well as takes into consideration the specificity of family holidays, i.e. their great individual character – daily schedule, ways of spending free time, and even how adaptive each member is. Every child is different, every parent is different, every family is different. This makes it hard to find a solution that would make everyone happy. What you need is basically a tailor-made itinerary.
You can have an active family holiday with any child
I will venture a claim that absolutely any child can enjoy an adventurous holiday. I am completely convinced of that, because it is the right itinerary that is the decisive factor in terms of the quality of holidays. Of course logistics-wise the youngest family members are the most challenging – meals, naps, you know 😉 Still, everything is possible even with small children, provided that the itinerary is well-planned and adjusted to each family member. Motion sickness, light sleep, food pickiness, allergies? Yes, you can accommodate for all those problems to organize your dream family holiday 🧡
Experienced in experiencing with a child
If you are still unsure whether you want to travel with kids, and whether it is at all possible to enjoy an adventurous family holiday, let me ease your mind: yes, you do, and yes, it is. In fact, I became a genuine traveller only after my daughter was born. I always try to arrange everything so that we can see fascinating places and experience the beauty of most remote corners of the world. At the same time I always keep in mind the needs of my little M, and since she is a demanding tourist, our daily schedule is often dependent on her needs. However, this does not feel like a limitation – we explore how we like and in such a way as to make the trip enjoyable for everyone, full of experiences and beautiful memories. Some words of wisdom: your child can be a great source of inspiration and the driving force for amazing travels rather than an obstacle. It is thanks to children that we rediscover the world and in a way relive our own lives 🧡 After all, life is a journey, and children are our travel companions.
