Portugal in 10 days ❤️

First things first: I’m a full-on Portugal fangirl. And don’t even get me started on the Portuguese language — it's hands-down the most beautiful in the world. I adore basically everything about this country: the landscapes, nature, culture, food, wine, coastline, islands, and the Atlantic Ocean. So yeah, I wouldn’t be me if I didn’t try to convince you to an unforgettable 10-day adventure through mainland Portugal. Buckle up! ❤️

Let’s kick off in Lisbon

Lisbon — how could you not fall head over heels with that gorgeous, bubbly capital? The dreamy vibe comes from its squares, fountains, churches (shoutout to the Carmo Convent – total showstopper!), fado music, tasty food, and dangerously drinkable green wine 😉 Take a sunset stroll through Alfama, the city’s oldest district, or hop onto the iconic yellow tram and soak in the views — architecture, red rooftops, and that overlooking castle. Book a place on a hill in the center so you can wake up to rooftops and good vibes. The viewpoints are next-level, offering sweeping views of the city and the Tagus River with its bridges. Oh, and for dessert? Go to Belém for the legendary pastéis de nata. You're welcome.

Surf’s up, Cabo da Roca & fairytale Sintra

Just outside Lisbon lies a surfer’s paradise. From Carcavelos to Cascais, the coast is packed with surf schools for kids, adults, and confused beginners alike. Wide beaches, chill beach bars, and cute towns? Yes, yes, and yes. Head west and then north to Cabo da Roca – the westernmost point of continental Europe. It’s all dramatic cliffs, lush greenery, and a postcard-worthy lighthouse. Not far from there, Sintra is basically where fairytales go on vacation – we’re talking castles, palaces, monasteries, and a stunning natural park. Oh, and it’s an A+ spot for biking! If you're feeling adventurous, keep cruising north to Ericeira and hit up other beachy hotspots on the way.

The road from Lisbon to the South = instant screensaver

As they say, it’s not about the destination, it’s about the vibe... I mean, the journey. And in Portugal’s case? Absolutely. The road from Lisbon heading south is a total knockout. Twisty roads, lush greenery, and views for days. First stop: Sines — think endless beaches and surfers living their best van life. Then cruise through the Alentejo Natural Park where cliffs meet cinematic coastline. Eventually, you’ll hit Sagres near Cape St. Vincent, where it literally feels like you're standing at the edge of the world. Just you and the never-ending Atlantic ❤️

Algarve: The Grand Finale

And voilà — you’ve made it to southern Portugal, AKA Algarve, AKA paradise. The west side of this region is something else: sandy coves, massive cliffs, and those dramatic, colorful rock formations you see in travel brochures. Near Lagos, the coastline is dotted with caves and grottos sculpted from limestone. Praia da Marinha? A literal dream. For a dose of history and culture (and wider beaches), check out port cities like Faro, Albufeira, or Portimão. And the seafood? Divine. Honestly, it’s hard to leave this place. But alas, even dream vacations must end...

Pro tip: Rent a car at Lisbon Airport and you’ll be living your best Portugal road trip life in no time. With a solid itinerary (like the one here, hint hint), even 10 days is enough to fall in love. Portugal is also a top-tier idea for a family-friendly spring break or an extended June ❤️
